Katerina is a passionate and empathetic individual whose goal is to create a collaborative relationship with clients and work alongside them to meet their unique needs. With a focus on culturally competent care, Katerina practices from a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, emphasizing a psychologically safe space free from judgment. She supports youth, adults, couples, and families dealing with trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, self-esteem, and more. She integrates approaches like Attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative therapy. She has worked with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) running support groups for family caregivers and has helped families struggling with complex relational dynamics, BPD, grief & loss, anxiety, and depression. With a background in biomedical sciences, she brings a biopsychosocial lens and a neurobiological perspective to clients’ experiences, using a blended therapeutic approach that supports their goals.
