Eric Kim

Registered Psychotherapist (RP)

Master’s in Counselling Psychology

Eric supports individuals, couples, and families with over 10 years of experience in public mental health, EFAP, and specialized care in trauma and anxiety.

His approach is grounded in Narrative Therapy and informed by trauma-focused practice. Eric works collaboratively with clients to better understand how past and present experiences may be shaping their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and coping patterns. He incorporates body awareness and nervous system regulation to help clients develop a greater sense of safety, emotional awareness, and resilience.

Eric has extensive experience working with men who are beginning—or ready to deepen—their exploration of emotions, relationships, and identity. He supports men in developing a deeper understanding of themselves, their emotions, and what masculinity means to them, while building healthier and more meaningful relationships.

Eric also welcomes clients who are exploring their sexual or gender identity, navigating family relationships, or seeking support around gender transition, inclusive identities, and pronouns. He is committed to creating a space where clients feel respected, understood, and comfortable being themselves.

For couples, Eric has training in the Gottman Method and draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and attachment-based approaches. He helps couples understand the patterns that may be keeping them feeling disconnected or stuck, while recognizing the individual experiences and challenges each partner brings to the relationship. His experience includes working with couples from diverse backgrounds and relationship structures.

Eric’s goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and develop practical ways to move forward.
